What if viewing were more than just "seeing"—but an experience of time unfolding slowly within one’s life? How would that feel?
The permanent collection exhibition, Fubon Collection-Resonance: Symphony of Light, Love & Color, centers on the themes of "Light, Love, and Color," extending into a sensory experience of motion and rhythm. As you move, linger, and shift your perspective, light flows and layers within the space, generating its own unique textures and cadence.
This expert-led tour features artist Ava Hsueh, who will guide the audience through the creative context of her works: Between Cascades, Interwoven Time and Space, and One Side Pure Land. She will lead viewers to explore the relationships, rhythms, and spiritual layers between the pieces, encouraging a heightened awareness of how one's own perception shifts amidst light, space, and movement. Through this journey, the act of viewing expands, fostering a deeper sense of resonance.
About the exhibition "Fubon Collection-Resonance: Symphony of Light, Love & Color" |
This exhibition of selections from the Fubon Collection explores how art, in the very moment of viewing, can transcend form and language to resonate with our deepest emotions. Centered on light, love, and color, it highlights the experience of movement and rhythm, transforming viewing from static contemplation into evolving sensory encounters.
In Resonance, light is not a fixed visual condition but a fluid presence channeled through a remarkable diversity of media and materials, ranging from LEGO blocks and butterflies to diamond simulants, neon, brass, lacquer, marble, textiles, gouache, and more. It shifts in response to the viewer’s movement, viewing angle, and duration of engagement, producing variations in rhythm and intensity that create melodic resonances among the works. These transformations of light turn the gallery space into an active field of perception.
This exhibition brings together contemporary artists working around the world, including Joël Andrianomearisoa, John Armleder, Georg Baselitz, Damian Elwes, Shilpa Gupta, Damien Hirst, Robert Indiana, Gerhard Richter, Kirstine Roepstorff, Paul Chiang, Ai Weiwei, Huang Kuang-nan, Ava Hsueh, Jason Chi, Su Xiaobai, and Su Meng-Hung. Through painting, sculpture, installation, text, and mixed media, the artists together form an ensemble, weaving light, color, and form into resonant conversations.
The dynamic musicality created by the currents of light, love, and color becomes a medium connecting viewers to the artworks. This is not just an exhibition but an unfolding perceptual composition in which resonance already echoes in the heart, igniting the light inside each of us.
