We are delighted to share that artist Ava Hsueh was recently invited to appear on Radio Taiwan International (RTI)'s program Beautiful Taiwan. During the interview, she talks about her decades of experience in artistic practice, arts education, and cultural administration, while sharing her observations and perspectives on Taiwan's contemporary art environment and the cultivation of future generations of artists.
Ava Hsueh is one of Taiwan's leading figures in contemporary abstract artist. She has long chosen abstract art as her expression. In dexterously conjuring biomorphic abstraction and geometric abstraction, she creates a hybrid reality that corresponds to epochal shifts in contemporary abstract art.
Supported by the Ministry of Culture, Hsueh's 2020 acrylic work Reaction–Dawu was officially acquired by the British Museum for its permanent collection in 2026, marking a significant milestone in the international recognition of Taiwanese contemporary art.
