“Black” responds to the world with a quiet and distilled presence.
This talk will explore the use and transformation of black in artistic practice, inviting artists to consider its poetic resonance and visual vocabulary, and how materials, brushwork, and embodied perception generate nuanced layers of expression.
The discussion will also reconsider how black can serve as a medium and a means of possibility for viewing the world, sensing the land, and carrying lived experience.
